The Romeo Y Julieta Linea de Oro Hidalgos is part of the new line “Línea de Oro”, Spanish for golden line. The Linea de Oro celebrates the 145th anniversary of the brand Romeo Y Julieta. This is the first time that Habanos SA creates a regular production sub-brand within Romeo y Julieta.

Romeo y Julieta is undeniably one of the most highly recognizable and popular Cuban Heritage brands ever made. Established in 1875, and named after Shakespeare’s famous tragic play, the Romeo y Julieta brand has been sparking love affairs with cigar smokers around the world for over 145 years.

Made exclusively in Havana up until the infamous Cuban trade embargo of 1962, Sir Winston Churchill was the brand’s most illustrious enthusiast, and the flagship vitola of the brand is named in his honor.
