The new “smaller” release of the iconic Montecristo No.2 – this is a shorter version of the popular piramides format cigar due for release in late 2013
Deep, rich, generous and with a strength greater than it might seem at first. One of the ten best Habanos of the size range.
Directly from the era of Art Deco, this sensual Cuban cigar has all the slim line allure of a top model and the soul of a blues man. A twisted cap makes the Especial easily recognisable and adds to its intrigue and flare. It may be the picture of elegance but the Especial is as strong as an ox! Once again the trademark earthiness and wet wood aromas are full-bodied and powerful. Seductive whilst being strong, the Especiales is a cigar you can take out on a night out and show it off!
A great classic. If you have already tasted it, you do not need my tasting notes to confirm that you have tasted one of the greatest Havanas of all-time.
The sublteness of this Cuban cigar derives from its precise construction, something that is technically hard to do with the Tres petit Corona, overheating is a problem that can be prominent in smaller cigars yet the No.5 has no such problems. So, no problems with this No.5 from Montecristo!
This big cigar looks more powerful than it is. Surprisingly mild, the Montecristo Edmundo, one of the newer vitoles of the Montecristo family, has all the recognizable traits of the brand, but delivered in a gentle warm smoke, especially in the first phase of the cigar.
