The H.Upmann Magnum 54 is a classy medium bodied Petit Robusto, of 54 ring gauge, 4.7” (120 mm) long and comes in aluminum tubes in a box of 15 cigars.
Deep, rich, generous and with a strength greater than it might seem at first. One of the ten best Habanos of the size range.
This is the first time that the H. Upmann marca has been used for a Gran Reserva release, which is considered to be among Habanos S.A.’s top cigars produced. All of the tobacco has been aged for a minimum of five years, before rolling the cigars, and only released when there is enough tobacco to produce such a release as opposed to on a fixed schedule.
A hidden treasure of Cuba. Exceptional construction and using only the finest tobacco, the Sir Winston is obviously a first class smoke. A strong tobacco taste and subtle herbal flavours are blended to perfection. This Churchill is easily on a par with a Cohiba Esplendidos and comes at a much more affordable price. But you will need time to get them to their best. Minimum 8 years. Goes into overdrive above 20 years.
The H.Upmann Epicures is an affordable, bold and complex Short Panetela, 4.3” (110mm) long, of 35 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. This is a rather short smoke (less than an hour), that has the very DNA of H.Upmann, clean and strong tobacco flavor.
A cigar that metamorphoses with time. Before it is 4 years old, the Connoisseur No.1 comes across as being a bland, mild cigar with no real character. Beyond this period, this Robusto becomes one of the most exciting cigars produced in Cuban, with impressive sweet herbal flavours delivered in a perfectly balanced smoke. Need 4 years minimum and gets better after that.
